Purpose and audience

The VEVOR VV-GDFJ-EC4 is a 4-inch inline duct fan built for continuous air exchange in grow tents, hydroponic setups and cooling booster applications. It delivers 205 CFM airflow at 200 Pa static pressure while drawing only 21 W from a standard AC 120 V supply.

Upgrade path

The EC copper motor replaces conventional AC shaded-pole units that typically run hotter and louder at the same airflow. The jump is worthwhile when a grower needs lower noise — approximately 28 dB in quiet mode versus 50 dB at full speed — and finer speed control via the included temperature-humidity controller.

Sustained operation

At 2900 RPM the fan maintains rated pressure without the thermal fade common in smaller brushless designs. The 11.8 x 9.2 x 7.1 in housing weighs 4.3 lbs and mounts with the supplied stainless-steel clamps, rubber mats and hang-up sling for vibration-isolated, long-term service.

Questions about this item

What duct diameter does the 4-inch inline fan connect to?

The fan housing is built for standard 4-inch ducting; the two included stainless-steel clamps secure the duct to the 11.8 in long by 9.2 in wide housing.

How do I wire the EC motor and where does the temperature-humidity controller plug in?

Connect the fan to a 120 V 50/60 Hz supply; the controller plugs into the fan’s built-in receptacle and the sensor lead routes through the housing grommet.

Which parts will need cleaning or replacement over time?

The copper-motor bearings and impeller blades collect dust — plan to vacuum them every few months; the four rubber mats and hang-up sling can be swapped if they degrade.
