Galvanised steel hardware cloth

The VEVOR VV-HC-4850 is a 48" x 50' roll of 16 gauge steel mesh with a 1" opening. It features a galvanised and black vinyl coating for corrosion resistance. The package includes a wire cutter and fabric gloves for installation. This specialty appliance suits garden fencing and pet enclosure projects.

Sustained outdoor exposure

The dual coating resists rust and weathering over long periods in soil and moisture. The 16 gauge wire maintains structural rigidity when stretched across posts or framed into panels. The 27 lb roll handles repeated tension during fitting without permanent deformation. Gloves and cutter supplied reduce setup fatigue during extended builds.

Upgrading from lighter mesh

Replaces thinner poultry netting or uncoated wire that sags or corrodes within seasons. The 1" mesh blocks small predators while allowing airflow for plant health. The jump is worth it when permanent enclosures need a 12.2 kg barrier that stays taut without frequent repair. Not suited for buyers needing finer mesh for insect exclusion or heavier gauge for large livestock containment.

Questions about this item

How much does the 48" x 50' roll weigh when I move it around the garden?

The roll weighs 27 lbs or 12.2 kg, so one person can lift and reposition it without machinery.

Which tools are included so I can start cutting and shaping the mesh right away?

The box contains a wire-cutter and a fabric glove, letting you trim the 16 gauge steel and handle the vinyl coating without extra purchases.

Will the 1" mesh opening keep out the same small animals that my older chicken wire excluded?

The 1" mesh matches traditional poultry netting dimensions, so it blocks the same pests while the galvanised and black vinyl coating resists rust longer than plain wire.
