Laundry Countertop with Storage

This black countertop spans 54 inches by 27 inches and sits on top of a washer and dryer pair. Two fabric drawers and a lower shelf hold detergent, baskets and small accessories. Side hooks keep lint rollers and cloths within reach. The surface supports up to 250 lbs for folding and ironing tasks.

Sustained Load Behaviour

The 15 mm P2 particle board deck resists sagging when loaded with wet laundry or a stacked basket. Side panels 1.97 inches high help contain items during extended sorting sessions. Non-slip pads under the frame prevent the unit from shifting on the appliance tops over repeated cycles.

Thermals Noise and Power

No motors, fans or heating elements are present, so the unit adds no heat or sound to the room. Assembly uses the included screws, dowels and hand tools and requires no electrical connection. The finished piece weighs 49.60 lbs and occupies a 53.94 x 27.56 x 12.01 inch footprint.

Questions about this item

Does this 15 mm particle-board countertop warp or sag under a 250 lb load after running appliances all day?

The 53.94 x 27.56 in top is rated for 250 lbs total, so continuous washer-dryer weight stays within its structural limit.

Which tools and fasteners come in the box so I can assemble it without a hardware-store trip?

The package includes 24 M7 x 50 mm screws, 10 wood dowels, 4 M4 x 8 mm screws, 2-in-1 screws and nuts, a hex wrench and a Phillips screwdriver.

Will my existing front-load washer and dryer fit side-by-side on the 54-inch surface?

The usable top measures 53.94 inches wide, giving roughly 27 inches per machine — enough for most standard 27-inch units.
