Questions about this item

How much heat or noise does the 500 mAh battery generate during a 130 hour session?

The mouse has no fan and produces no audible noise; the low-power PAW3395 sensor and 55 g shell keep surface temperature near ambient even after 130 hours of continuous use.

What must I already own to use the 16 programmable buttons and 4000 Hz polling rate?

A computer with an available USB port for the supplied receiver and the VGN desktop application installed to assign macros and enable the 4000 Hz report rate.

Will the PAW3395 sensor track reliably on the same mousepad I used with my older optical mouse?

Yes — the flagship optical sensor works on standard cloth, hard and hybrid pads without recalibration, so your existing surface remains compatible.
