Apple Find My Wallet Tracker

The Viator Gear FTAG02W is a compact Bluetooth tracker certified by Apple MFi for exclusive use with the Find My app on iOS devices. It helps owners locate personal items such as wallets, keys, bags or luggage without needing extra apps or subscriptions. The tracker pairs directly through the native Find My interface on an iPhone.

For iOS Users Only

This device suits anyone already in the Apple ecosystem who wants simple, app-free tracking for everyday carry items. It is not for Android users, as the tracker cannot pair with non-Apple phones. Buyers who need cross-platform compatibility, built-in GPS, cellular connectivity or the ability to bind the tracker to a MacBook or Apple Watch should look elsewhere.

40 Metre Bluetooth Range

The single specification that decides fit is the 40 metre (130 ft) Bluetooth range for nearby pinging and the 80 dB audible alert. Beyond that distance the tracker relies on the crowdsourced Find My network, which only updates when other Apple devices pass nearby. If you require real-time GPS positioning or guaranteed long-range updates without nearby iPhones, this is not the right part.

Questions about this item

How do I set up the Viator Gear FTAG02W tracker with the Find My app on my iPhone?

Open the Find My app on an iPhone running the latest iOS, enable Bluetooth and an internet connection, then follow the on-screen prompts to add the tracker. Android devices and direct pairing to a MacBook or Apple Watch are not supported.

What maintenance does the FTAG02W tracker require and how long does it last?

The tracker is designed for a 1-year operational life. When the battery is depleted the unit cannot be recharged or have its cell replaced, so the whole tracker is discarded and a new one purchased.

What is the effective range of the 80 dB sound alert when I ping the FTAG02W nearby?

The audible ping works within a 40 m (130 ft) Bluetooth radius. Beyond that distance the Find My network relies on other Apple devices to report the tracker's location instead of a direct sound alert.
