What this wallet is and who it suits

The Viator Gear Tra424 is a minimalist front-pocket wallet made from stainless steel with a black finish. At only .12 inch thick and measuring 3.1 x 4.4 inches, it fits comfortably in a front or back pocket. It holds six cards in dedicated slots and includes an ID window for quick access. Designed for adults who prefer a compact, unisex carry option.

RFID protection limits at 13.56 MHz

Independent lab tests confirm the wallet blocks RFID signals at 13.56 MHz, the frequency used by most credit cards, debit cards, driver licences and ID cards. Signals operating at 142 KHz, such as some ID badges, access cards and hotel room keys, are not blocked. Buyers who need protection for low-frequency proximity cards should look for a different solution.

Replacing a bulky leather billfold

This wallet replaces a traditional folded leather wallet that carries cash, coins and many cards. The slim stainless-steel frame forces a reduction to six essential cards and no coin storage. The jump is worth it when pocket bulk is the main frustration and the daily carry can be trimmed to the absolute minimum. Hand-wash care keeps the material in shape.

Questions about this item

Small versus medium — which size fits six cards and still slides into a front pocket?

The Tra424 Small measures 3.1 x 4.4 x .12 inches and holds six card slots, so it stays slim enough for front-pocket carry while keeping your most-used cards accessible.

What does the 13.56 MHz RFID blocking actually stop when the wallet is in my pocket?

Independent lab tests confirm the stainless-steel body blocks 13.56 MHz signals used by credit cards, debit cards, driver licences and ID cards, preventing remote scanning of those items.

Does the RFID shielding work on 142 KHz badge or hotel-key cards too?

No — the wallet is tested and approved only for 13.56 MHz; signals at 142 KHz such as some ID badges, access cards or hotel room keys will not be blocked.
