Standing laptop stand for mobile workstations

The Victor DC230B is a height-adjustable platform that lets you work on a laptop or tablet while standing at a traditional desk or table. Its 21 by 13 inch scratch-resistant PVC-coated wood surface holds the device plus a mouse, drink or notepad. A steel piston and stabilising base keep the stand steady up to 20 lb.

Height range locks you into standing use only

The gas-strut lever raises the worksurface from 12 to 15.75 inches above the desk, but the mechanism does not lower far enough for a seated position. Buyers who need a sit-stand range should look elsewhere.

360-degree rotation and portable frame change

Full rotation lets you swing the screen toward a colleague or pivot between landscape and portrait without lifting the stand. The unit weighs little enough to move between rooms, yet the heavy-duty steel base prevents tipping during typing.

Questions about this item

How high will my laptop sit above the desk when the stand is fully raised?

The platform adjusts from 12 to 15.75 inches above the desk surface using the lever-operated gas strut, so the top of your laptop will be roughly that high plus the device thickness.

Does the 360 degree rotation let me swivel the platform a full circle while it is raised?

Yes, the stand rotates 360 degrees on its base, allowing you to turn the entire platform to face any direction without moving the unit.

How much clearance do I need on my desk for the 21 by 13 inch footprint?

The stand requires a flat area at least 21 inches wide by 13 inches deep for the base and platform; the stabilising base sits within that footprint.
