Portable suitcase turntable

The Victrola VSC-500BTC-BLK is a portable suitcase record player that spins vinyl at 33 1/3, 45 and 78 rpm and also plays cassette tapes. Built-in stereo speakers and a headphone jack let you listen privately or share the sound. Bluetooth connectivity streams audio from a smart device to the unit or sends the turntable output to an external Bluetooth speaker. A 3.5 mm aux-in and RCA out connect non-Bluetooth sources or an existing sound system.

Vinyl Stream and cassette playback

Vinyl Stream technology transmits the turntable signal wirelessly to any paired Bluetooth speaker, so vinyl can be heard on larger systems without cables. The integrated cassette deck revives tape collections that would otherwise need a separate player. Bluetooth input lets you stream music services through the built-in speakers, while the aux-in and RCA out keep wired options open for older gear or external amplification.

Check power and placement

The unit measures 14 by 11 by 5 inches and includes an easy-carry handle, so verify you have a stable surface and access to a mains outlet for the built-in amplifier. Ensure your external Bluetooth speaker supports the same profile if you plan to use Vinyl Stream. Confirm that any device you connect via 3.5 mm aux or RCA uses line-level signals compatible with the player’s inputs.

Questions about this item

Does the belt on the 3-speed turntable need periodic replacement?

The belt-driven turntable uses a standard belt that can be replaced when it stretches or wears, keeping 33, 45 and 78 RPM playback accurate.

What limits continuous play time on the built-in speakers?

The internal stereo speakers and amplifier are designed for typical listening sessions; extended high-volume use may trigger thermal protection that pauses playback until the unit cools.

How loud is the motor and cooling when the suitcase runs all day?

The belt-drive motor runs quietly at low volume, and the compact 14 x 11 x 5 inch chassis relies on passive ventilation, so fan noise is absent during extended operation.
