Portable suitcase turntable with Bluetooth

The Victrola VSC-550BT-USA is a belt-driven turntable housed in a vintage-style suitcase with an easy carry handle. It plays vinyl at three speeds: 33, 45 and 78 rpm. Built-in stereo speakers and Bluetooth let you stream audio from a phone or connect headphones for private listening. The unit weighs 2.69 lb and measures 13.9 in x 10.1 in x 5.0 in.

Limits of built-in audio and connectivity

The integrated speakers provide convenient all-in-one playback but cannot match the dynamics or channel separation of a dedicated stereo system. Bluetooth input is receive-only, so you cannot wirelessly transmit the turntable's own signal to external speakers or headphones. RCA outputs pass a line-level signal that requires an amplifier or powered speakers for higher volume or fidelity. The auto-stop switch halts the platter at the end of a side but does not lift the tonearm.

Upgrade from basic portable players

This model replaces entry-level suitcase turntables that lack Bluetooth streaming, RCA outputs or a headphone jack. The jump is worth it if you want wireless phone playback through the same box, the option to connect better speakers later, or private listening without disturbing others. Buyers who need a moving-magnet preamp with adjustable gain, a replaceable cartridge or a fully manual tonearm will not find those features here.

Questions about this item

Which speed should I select for my records?

Choose 33 rpm for standard 12-inch LPs, 45 rpm for 7-inch singles, and 78 rpm for older shellac discs. The belt-driven turntable handles all three speeds.

How loud do the built-in speakers get in a typical room?

The unit draws 120 watts from a 120-volt supply, powering the internal stereo speakers for room-filling sound without extra equipment.

What does the Bluetooth connection actually do on this turntable?

It streams audio from a phone or tablet to the built-in speakers; it does not send the turntable's vinyl signal out to other Bluetooth devices.
