Enclosure for 9.7-inch iPad Models

The VidaMount VESA enclosure fits iPad 9.7 (5th and 6th generation), iPad Pro 9.7, and iPad Air 1 and 2. It is machined from a solid piece of high-strength resin for rigidity and includes interior pads to protect the tablet. A microphone hole, speaker grill and power-button service knockout are integrated into the design.

Cable Access and Mounting Flexibility

Openings accommodate Lightning or 30-Pin power cables, a 3.5 mm headphone jack and compatible add-on readers. The back plate uses the VESA 100 pattern so the enclosure can attach to compatible wall, desk or floor mounts. Seven 8-32 x 1/2 inch screws and four foam spacers for Air models are supplied.

Compatibility Check Before Ordering

Verify that your tablet is one of the listed 9.7-inch models; other sizes will not fit. Confirm that your chosen mount provides a VESA 100 interface, because the mount itself is not included. Ensure you have the correct cable connectors for your specific iPad generation.

Questions about this item

Does the enclosure generate any heat or noise when the iPad runs continuously?

The VidaMount enclosure is a passive resin shell with no fans or electronics, so it adds no heat or noise to the iPad during all-day use.

Which VESA mount must I already own to install this enclosure?

You need a separate VESA 100 compliant wall, desk or floor mount; the enclosure supplies the 8-32 x 1/2" screws but the VESA mount itself is not included.

Will my first-generation iPad Air fit securely alongside the newer 9.7-inch models?

Yes, the box includes four foam spacers specifically for iPad Air and Air 2, while the 9.7-inch iPad 5th/6th Gen and Pro 9.7" fit directly without spacers.
