Viega MegaPress XL 4" Coupling

The Viega 4815.5XL is a 4-inch carbon steel coupling designed for press connections on Schedule 5 to Schedule 40 carbon steel pipe. It uses Smart Connect technology with FKM sealing elements to create a secure joint without a pipe stop. Professional installers use it for large-diameter piping systems in commercial and industrial applications.

Capacity and headroom

This coupling joins 4-inch carbon steel pipe across the full Schedule 5 to Schedule 40 wall-thickness range. It provides a continuous bore because it has no internal stop, allowing straight-through flow. The joint is rated for the pressure limits of the connected pipe schedule. It cannot be used with copper, stainless steel or plastic pipe.

Thermals noise and power

The coupling is a passive mechanical fitting with no moving parts, electrical supply or noise generation. It does not produce heat or draw power during operation. System pressure and fluid temperature are determined by the pipe schedule and the FKM seal rating. Installation requires MegaPress XL rings and a PressBooster or Z3 actuator.
