The Viega 79270 ProPress adapter joins 1-1/2 inch copper tube to a 1-1/4 inch male NPT thread using a press-fit connection. Its bronze body and EPDM O-ring handle potable-water service at up to 200 psi and 250 degrees F. The straight adapter measures 2-3/4 inches overall and meets ASTM B75 and ASTM B88 standards.
