This Viega 79355 adapter joins 1-1/4 inch copper tube to a 1-1/2 inch female NPT thread using a press-fit connection. The bronze body and EPDM O-ring suit potable water installations up to 200 psi and 250 degrees F. It meets ASTM B75 and ASTM B88 standards for copper fittings.
Bronze construction with press-to-thread transition
The straight adapter measures 2 1/8 inches overall and requires a compatible press tool for the copper side while the opposite end accepts standard NPT pipe threads. No bolt holes or flange surfaces are present, keeping the joint compact for tight plumbing runs. The EPDM seal resists hot water and common treatment chemicals.
