2" ProPress Bronze Adapter

The Viega 79370 is a straight crimp adapter fitting made from bronze for potable water systems. It connects a 2 in copper tube press-fit end to a 2 in FNPT threaded end. An EPDM O-ring provides the seal at the press connection. The fitting suits residential and commercial plumbing installations.

Sustained Pressure and Temperature Rating

The adapter is rated for a maximum operating pressure of 200 psi and a maximum operating temperature of 250 degrees F. These limits apply to continuous service conditions rather than brief test spikes. The bronze body and EPDM seal maintain integrity across this range without degradation.

ASTM B75 and B88 Compliance

The fitting meets ASTM B75 and ASTM B88 standards for material and dimensional requirements. This certification is the single specification that confirms suitability for code-compliant potable water piping. Installers should verify local code acceptance before specifying this part.
