ProPress Ball Valve for Potable Water Systems

The Viega 79970 is a manual two-way ball valve designed for potable water lines in residential or light commercial plumbing. Its bronze body and stainless-steel ball resist corrosion, while the full-port design maintains unrestricted flow through the valve.

Press-Fit Connection Eliminates Soldering

The valve uses Viega ProPress press-fit ends sized for 1/2 inch tubing, creating a permanent, leak-tight joint without open flame or solder. A locking lever handle prevents accidental operation once the valve is set.

Rated for 200 psi Working Pressure

Normal operation stays within a 200 psi maximum pressure rating and the assembly holds vacuum down to 29.2 in Hg. The bronze construction and full-port ball keep pressure drop low and operating torque light during everyday use.
