Viega MegaPress 25720 union coupling

The Viega MegaPress 25720 is a carbon-steel union coupling designed for press-to-press connections on 1-1/2 inch piping systems. It suits commercial and industrial plumbing installations that require a reliable, flame-free joint.

Verify pipe size and press-tool compatibility

Confirm that the existing pipe is exactly 1-1/2 inch and that your press tool accepts the MegaPress profile for this diameter. The coupling is rated for a maximum pressure of 200 psi and an operating temperature range of 0 to 250 degrees F, so ensure the system design stays within those limits.

Thermals noise and power draw

As a passive mechanical fitting the coupling generates no noise, draws no power and produces no heat of its own. Its carbon-steel construction simply conducts the fluid temperature, which must remain between 0 and 250 degrees F during normal operation.

Questions about this item

What comes with the Viega MegaPress 25720 union coupling and what must be purchased separately?

The box contains the 1-1/2" press x press union coupling made of carbon steel. You will need to buy the compatible press tool, jaws for 1-1/2" pipe, and any required pipe lengths separately.

Which version of the MegaPress 25720 should I choose for my pipe size?

This model is a single 1-1/2" x 1-1/2" press x press union coupling rated for 200 psi and a temperature range of 0 to 250 degrees F. Select it when joining two 1-1/2" carbon steel pipes.

What does the 200 psi rating mean once the 25720 coupling is installed in a system?

It indicates the maximum continuous working pressure the carbon steel union can safely handle at temperatures up to 250 degrees F after a proper press connection is made.
