304 Stainless 45° Press Elbow

The Viega Megapress fitting is a 45 degree street elbow made from 304 stainless steel for press connection systems. It uses Smart Connect technology with an FKM sealing element to create a secure joint without welding or threading. The street configuration connects directly into another fitting or valve on one end. This component suits press piping installations in bath hardware applications.

Installers needing press-ready stainless fittings

The elbow serves technicians who want a flame-free press connection with visual press verification via Smart Connect. It is not for buyers who require threaded or soldered joint methods, nor for systems that specify a different stainless grade or sealing material. Projects needing other angles or straight couplings should select alternative fittings.

Questions about this item

What pipe size and material must I already have for this 3/4" 45° stainless steel 304 press elbow to connect?

You need 3/4" stainless steel tubing compatible with press fittings and an FKM sealing element rated for your system pressure and temperature.

Will this press elbow work with my existing copper or carbon steel piping?

No, the 304 stainless steel body and press connection are designed only for stainless steel tube; mixing metals can cause galvanic corrosion and seal failure.
