Viega Megapress 304 Street Elbow

This Viega Megapress fitting is a 45° street elbow made from 304 stainless steel. It uses a press connection on the tube end and a plain street end for joining to another fitting. The design suits plumbing installers who need a corrosion-resistant directional change in press systems. Smart Connect technology helps identify unpressed connections during testing.

Press installation with Smart Connect

The press connection installs with standard press tools and the FKM sealing element seats automatically when pressed. Smart Connect technology provides a visual indication if a joint has not been pressed, reducing the risk of leaks during pressure testing. The street end requires no separate fitting but must align with the receiving component. Installers without press tools cannot use this fitting.

Questions about this item

How do I confirm the Smart Connect technology indicates a proper press on the 1" elbow after installation?

The FKM sealing element and Smart Connect feature show an unpressed connection by leaking during a low-pressure test, confirming the joint is secure only when the leak stops.

What comes with the 95090 street elbow and what must I source separately for a complete 1" press joint?

The box contains the 304 stainless steel 45° street elbow with its factory-fitted FKM sealing element; a compatible press tool, jaw set and tubing are not included.
