  • Meets ASTM B75 and ASTM B88 material standards
  • Straight adapter 1 13/16 in long for tight spaces

Bronze Press-Fit Adapter

The Viega ProPress 2911 is a straight bronze adapter that joins 1/2 inch copper tube to a 3/4 inch male NPT thread. It is designed for potable water systems and uses a press-fit connection on the tube side for fast, flame-free installation.

Press-Fit Installation Limits

The press-fit end requires a compatible ProPress tool and jaw to form a permanent, leak-tight seal without solder or flux. The joint cannot be disassembled or repositioned once pressed, so pipe alignment must be correct before the crimp is made.

200 psi / 250 °F Rating

Maximum operating pressure is 200 psi and maximum operating temperature is 250 degrees F, per ASTM B75 and B88. Systems that exceed either limit need a different fitting rated for higher pressure or temperature.

Which standards govern the bronze alloy and the copper tube dimensions?

The bronze meets ASTM B75 and the tube sizing follows ASTM B88.
