Viega ProPress Copper Reducer
The Viega ProPress 2915.2 is a straight reducing connector that joins 2-inch and 1-1/4-inch copper tubing in potable-water systems. It uses press-fit connections on both ends so installers can make secure joints without soldering or threading. The copper body and EPDM O-ring suit standard plumbing applications.
Capacity and headroom
The fitting handles a maximum operating pressure of 200 psi and a maximum operating temperature of 250 degrees F. These ratings cover typical residential and light-commercial hot and cold water lines. Systems that exceed either limit will need a different component rated for higher pressure or temperature.
Thermals noise and power draw
The copper construction conducts heat evenly and adds no noise or vibration to the pipe run. Because the fitting has no moving parts and requires no external power, it draws zero electricity and operates silently. The EPDM seal remains stable across the stated temperature range.

Questions about this item
Will the 2 in press end seat on my existing 2 in copper pipe without soldering?
Yes — the 2 in side is a press-fit connection for copper tube, so it joins the pipe with a ProPress tool instead of heat.
How can I confirm the joint is holding at the rated 200 psi after pressing?
Pressurise the line to its working pressure and inspect each connection; a proper press leaves a uniform bead and shows no leaks at 200 psi.
Does the box include the EPDM O-rings or must I order them separately?
The EPDM O-rings are factory-installed inside both press ends, so no separate seal kit is needed.
