ProPress Copper Cap 1-1/4 Inch
This Viega ProPress 2956 fitting provides a press-fit copper cap for 1-1/4 inch tube. It is designed for potable water systems and carries certifications including NSF/ANSI 61 and 372, UL, CSA and FM approvals. The EPDM O-ring seals at pressures up to 200 psi and temperatures between 0 and 250 degrees F.
Check Tube Size And Press Tool Access
Verify that the existing copper tube measures exactly 1-1/4 inches CTS before ordering. Confirm the system design pressure does not exceed 200 psi and operating temperature stays within the 0 to 250 degree F range. Ensure a compatible ProPress tool and jaw set are available to complete the press connection.
Replaces Threaded Or Soldered Cap Fittings
This press-fit cap eliminates the need for threading, soldering or open flame on site. The upgrade is worthwhile when installation speed, flameless safety or consistent joint quality are priorities. It is not suited for applications requiring a centre stop or for tube sizes other than 1-1/4 inches.
