Viega ProPress XL Coupling No Stop 4 in 20753

SKU CH-FJ2M-V23TS

A 4-inch copper press-fit coupling joins two pipes without a centre stop and handles up to 200 psi

  • Press-fit copper coupling installs quickly without soldering
  • 4-inch copper tube size fits large-diameter potable water lines
  • EPDM O-ring seals reliably up to 200 psi operating pressure
  • No centre stop allows continuous straight pipe runs
  • 5 25/32 in overall length suits standard press-tool clearances

Viega ProPress XL 4 Inch Coupling

This Viega ProPress XL coupling joins two 4 inch copper tubes in potable water systems. It uses a press-fit connection on both ends with no centre stop, so the fitting slides fully onto either tube. The copper body carries an EPDM O-ring for a watertight seal.

Press-Fit Limits at 200 psi

The press-fit method relies on a calibrated tool to compress the O-ring against the tube wall. Maximum operating pressure is 200 psi, so the joint must stay within that limit. No threading, soldering or bolts are involved, which speeds installation but requires the correct press jaws for 4 inch tube.

No Centre Stop Means Full Insertion

Because this coupling has no centre stop, each tube can be inserted to the full depth of the fitting. Overall length is 5 25/32 in, giving the installer flexibility to bridge a gap or align pipes without a fixed midpoint. This design suits repairs or layouts where a stop would get in the way.

Questions about this item

How do I know the 4 inch size is the right one for my piping?

The coupling connects two 4 inch copper tubes, so match it to the tube size you are joining.

What does the 200 psi pressure rating mean when the system is running?

The joint is tested to hold up to 200 psi in potable water service without leaking.

How does the press-fit connection work without a centre stop?

Each end slides fully onto the tube and is crimped with a ProPress tool, creating a permanent seal.
