ProPress XL Reducing Tee 3×3×1-1/4
This copper press-fit tee connects three pipe sections in potable-water systems. Two ends accept 3-inch copper tube and the third accepts 1-1/4-inch tube. A built-in center-stop dimple ensures correct insertion depth on every joint. The fitting is rated for 200 psi maximum operating pressure.
Press-Fit Installation Replaces Soldered Tees
The press-fit design eliminates open-flame soldering, reducing fire risk and installation time on commercial and residential jobs. It upgrades from traditional sweat fittings where hot-work permits are difficult or where rapid assembly is required. The EPDM O-ring seals on each end provide leak-tight performance without flux or solder.
Three-Port Copper Distribution Fitting
The tee handles hot and cold potable water distribution at 200 psi working pressure. Its copper body resists corrosion and maintains water quality in standard plumbing layouts. The reducing branch allows a direct step-down from a 3-inch main to a 1-1/4-inch lateral without additional reducers. The 6-5/16-inch overall length fits typical commercial rough-in spacing.

Questions about this item
What copper tube sizes does the 3 in × 3 in × 1-1/4 in reducing tee connect?
The tee joins two 3 in copper tube ends and one 1-1/4 in copper tube end using press-fit connections on all three sides.
How is the Viega ProPress XL tee installed, and what step is often missed?
A ProPress tool presses the fitting onto clean, deburred tube until the tool completes its cycle; skipping the deburring step can damage the EPDM O-ring and cause leaks.
When should the EPDM O-rings in this reducing tee be inspected or replaced?
Inspect the O-rings during any system maintenance or if pressure testing shows a drop; replace them if they show cracking, hardening or permanent deformation.
