Magnetic iPhone Power Bank

The ViewSonic KT-D003MINI is a 5000mAh lithium-polymer power bank built for MagSafe-compatible iPhones from the 12 through 17 series. It snaps to the back of the phone or a MagSafe case and delivers up to 15W of wireless power. A USB-C port handles both input and output for wired charging when preferred.

Slim Profile and Thermal Behaviour

At 3.74 by 2.55 by .55 inches and 120 grams, the pack sits flush without blocking the camera and slips into a tight pocket. The low 2-volt operating voltage and modest 5000mAh capacity keep heat low during typical wireless sessions. No active cooling is present, so sustained maximum output will warm the surface slightly.

Build Integration and Limits

The unit requires a MagSafe phone or MagSafe case for secure attachment; non-magnetic cases prevent proper alignment. USB-C cables are needed for recharging the bank itself or for wired device charging. It does not support non-MagSafe phones, multi-device wireless charging, or pass-through wireless power while the bank is being recharged.

Questions about this item

How do I attach the KT-D003MINI to my iPhone and what mistake should I avoid?

Align the magnetic side of the 5000mAh power bank with the back of a compatible iPhone 12 through 17 series or a MagSafe case; using a non-magnetic case prevents proper adsorption and charging will not start.

What part of the KT-D003MINI will need replacement first and how will I know?

The internal 5000mAh lithium-polymer cell degrades over hundreds of cycles; when a full charge no longer adds meaningful runtime to your iPhone the power bank itself must be replaced.

What thermal limit appears first during continuous 15W wireless charging?

Sustained 15W wireless output heats the 120g slim chassis quickly; the built-in safety system will throttle or pause charging once the internal temperature threshold is reached.
