Retro gamepad with Hall-effect sticks

The ViewSonic SN30 Pro is a wireless gamepad styled after classic controllers. It pairs with Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, Windows, macOS, Android and Steam via Bluetooth 4.0 or the included USB-C cable. The 2023 update adds Hall-effect joysticks for drift-resistant input.

480 mAh battery delivers 16 hours play

A built-in 480 mAh lithium-ion cell charges in one to two hours and powers up to 16 hours of gameplay. Bluetooth 4.0 keeps the link stable with low latency, while wired USB-C operation draws negligible power from the host device.

USB-C cable and firmware updates included

The box supplies a USB-C cable for wired play and charging. Firmware can be updated manually through ViewSonic support to maintain compatibility with Switch firmware 1.0.0 through 3.0.1 and newer platforms. No HD rumble or NFC support is present.

Questions about this item

How do I pair the ViewSonic SN30 Pro via Bluetooth 4.0, and what step do people miss?

Hold the pairing button until the LEDs flash rapidly, then select the controller in your device's Bluetooth menu; the step often missed is choosing the correct mode (X-input, D-input, Mac, or Switch) before pairing.

What maintenance will the 480mAh lithium-ion battery need later?

The internal 480mAh battery is not user-replaceable; after several hundred charge cycles capacity will drop, so plan to recharge more often or use the USB-C cable for wired play.

What limit appears first during long sessions with the Hall Effect joysticks?

The 16-hour battery life is the first limit; continuous wireless play will require recharging after about 16 hours, while the Hall Effect sticks themselves do not develop drift.
