Five gigabit ports with auto-negotiation in a fanless metal case for silent desktop or wall mounting
The ViewSonic TL-SG105 provides five RJ45 ports that each negotiate 10, 100 or 1000 Mbps automatically. It connects computers, gaming consoles, printers or televisions without any software configuration. A metal chassis allows desktop or wall mounting in a home or office.
No moving parts mean zero audible noise during normal operation. The supplier notes energy-efficient technology reduces power draw while maintaining throughput. A 230 V external adapter supplies the unit, which draws 0.6 A under load.
Every port detects wiring polarity and corrects it internally, so any standard patch cable works immediately. This single feature decides whether the switch fits a plug-and-play deployment without manual cable selection.

Connect the included power adapter to the 230 V input, then plug Ethernet cables into the five RJ45 ports; the step users miss is confirming each link LED lights at 1000 Mbps to verify gigabit negotiation.
The fanless metal chassis has no moving parts to service; only the external power adapter may need replacement if its 0.6 A output degrades after years of continuous use.
The 40 °C upper temperature rating is the first constraint; sustained 1000 Mbps traffic across all ports raises internal heat, so ensure airflow around the 3.94 × 3.85 × 0.98 in case.
