27" 1500R Curved Gaming Monitor

The ViewSonic VX2718-2KPC-MHD is a 27-inch curved gaming monitor built around a VA panel with a 1500R curvature radius. It targets players who want a WQHD 2560 x 1440 resolution paired with a high 180Hz refresh rate and 1ms MPRT response time. The panel delivers a 4000:1 contrast ratio and 16.7 million colours for deep blacks and vivid colour reproduction.

Simple Setup with HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.2

Connect the monitor via two HDMI 2.0 ports or one DisplayPort 1.2 input using the included DisplayPort cable and power adapter. The anti-glare coating reduces reflections in bright rooms, while the 178-degree horizontal and vertical viewing angles keep colours consistent from off-centre positions. Ensure your graphics driver enables FreeSync Premium to avoid screen tearing at variable frame rates.

Ideal for Competitive and Immersive Gaming

The 180Hz refresh rate and Adaptive-Sync support suit fast-paced FPS, RTS and MOBA titles where motion clarity matters. HDR10 capability adds highlight detail in supported content, and ViewMode presets optimise the image for different game genres. Users needing higher brightness than 250 cd/m2 or a flatter screen for colour-critical design work should consider alternative panels.

Questions about this item

How do I confirm the monitor is running at 180 Hz after connecting it?

Open your graphics driver control panel or Windows display settings and verify the refresh rate is set to 180 Hz; use the on-screen display menu to confirm the current timing matches 2560 x 1440 at 180 Hz.

What cables and accessories are included, and is an HDMI cable supplied?

The box contains the LCD monitor, power cable, AC/DC adapter, DisplayPort cable, and quick start guide; no HDMI cable is included, so you must provide your own HDMI 2.0 cable if you plan to use the HDMI ports.

Should I choose the DisplayPort or HDMI input to reach the highest refresh rate?

Use the DisplayPort 1.2 connection to achieve the full 180 Hz at 2560 x 1440; the two HDMI 2.0 ports are limited to 165 Hz at the same resolution.
