Dual-bay SATA dock for desktop and laptop users
The ViewSonic YPZ04-S2 accepts two 2.5-inch or 3.5-inch SATA drives at once. It connects through a single USB 3.0 port and works with Windows, macOS and Linux without installing drivers. The unit includes a 12 V power adapter and a USB 3.0 cable.
Fits a spare USB 3.0 port and a wall outlet
Each bay takes a standard SATA hard drive or SSD up to the stated capacity limit. The dock draws its own power, so the host computer’s USB port is not burdened. Offline cloning runs independently, freeing the PC for other tasks while the copy finishes.
Supports up to 24 TB total across both bays
Data moves at up to 5 Gbps over USB 3.0, fast enough for large media libraries and backups. The ABS enclosure stays compact at 23 cm by 14.5 cm by 8 cm. Drives larger than the supported limit or non-SATA interfaces will not work.

Questions about this item
Will the 5 Gbps USB 3.0 link become a bottleneck when both 24 TB bays are transferring large files simultaneously?
The single USB 3.0 connection shares its 5 Gbps bandwidth across both bays, so sustained dual-drive transfers will be limited to that aggregate rate.
Does the ABS enclosure and lack of a fan cause noticeable heat or noise during all-day cloning or heavy read-write cycles?
The dock relies on passive cooling through the ABS shell; drives may warm up during extended use, but there is no fan to generate noise.
Must I already own a host device with a USB 3.0 port and a 12 V power outlet to use the dock and its offline clone feature?
Yes, the dock requires a USB 3.0 host port for data and the included 12 V adapter plugged into mains power for drive operation and offline cloning.
