Talk Battery Booster Sign

The Viking Components Talk Battery Booster Sign is a line-conditioning unit that raises talk battery voltage to 48VDC and loop current to 26mA on single analog extensions behind PABX or electronic key systems. It is built for installers who need reliable power for line-powered devices such as touch-tone diallers and emergency phones on low-voltage or low-loop-current circuits.

Integration with analog extensions

The module sits inline on the extension and passes original ringing, hook-switch flash, caller-ID data and CPC signals through to the connected device without alteration. A power LED brightens to indicate active boosting, giving a quick visual confirmation that the circuit is delivering the elevated voltage and current the endpoint requires.

Voltage and current headroom

The booster comfortably supports touch-tone dialling equipment that needs up to 48VDC and 26mA, ensuring stable operation where the host system cannot supply adequate loop power. It does not support pulse or rotary dialling, so installations that rely on legacy dial-pulse signalling will need an alternative solution.
