Viking Electronics VK-DLE-200B Two-Way Line Emulator

Two-Way Line Emulator for Fax and Modem

The Viking VK-DLE-200B connects two analogue devices such as fax machines or modems without a telephone exchange. It supplies a precise 32 V DC talk battery and accurate dial tone so both ends operate as if on a live line. Modem speeds up to 28.8 kbps are supported for legacy data applications.

Sustained Operation with Selectable Line Behaviour

Switch-selectable ring cadence and jumper-selectable ring count let the installer match local signalling requirements. The unit provides CPC breaks after hang-up on either port and delivers a ring-back signal to the calling device. Audio attenuation is also switch selectable to prevent distortion during long sessions.

Replaces a Central Office Circuit

This emulator removes the need for a dedicated telephone circuit when connecting two pieces of equipment directly. It is ideal for prison phone communications, test benches or any installation where a permanent private line is required. The jump is worth it when recurring line rental or exchange hardware is no longer justified.
