The Viking VK-E-1600A is a phone line powered emergency phone designed for public safety locations such as elevators, parking ramps, pools and campus stations. It meets ADA compliance requirements and includes a Grade 2 braille label for visually impaired users. Handsfree operation allows immediate communication without lifting a handset.

Phone Line Powered Operation Limits

The unit draws power directly from the telephone line, so it functions without external electricity but cannot operate if the line voltage is absent or insufficient. It supports both touch tone and pulse dialing modes for compatibility with older exchanges. Advanced call progress detection automatically disconnects on CPC signals, silence, busy tone, dial tone, time-out or a touch tone command.

16 Second Digital Voice Announcer

A non volatile digital announcer stores up to 16 seconds of voice memory for location identification or emergency instructions.
