Vandal Resistant Stainless Steel Panel

The Viking Electronics VK-K-1500-7 is a video accessory designed for secure entry communication. It flush mounts to a standard double gang box and operates on C. O. lines or analog PABX and KSU stations. The unit draws power directly from the telephone line, removing the need for a separate supply. It suits installers fitting a durable call point in exposed locations.

Thermals noise and power draw

Telephone line powering keeps consumption low and eliminates an external transformer. The stainless steel panel runs passively with no moving parts, so it produces no audible noise during operation. Heat output is negligible in normal use, allowing reliable service inside the optional VE-5x10, VE-5x10-SS or VE-9x20 enclosures without active cooling.

Questions about this item

How do I flush-mount this VK-K-1500-7 panel to a standard double gang box?

Align the unit with the box opening, feed the telephone wiring through the back, and secure the stainless steel faceplate using the mounting screws provided. The panel draws power directly from the connected C. O. or analog PABX line, so no separate power supply is needed.

Will the VE-5x10 surface mount box or VE-9x20 weatherproof box need replacement over time?

Both optional enclosures are passive mechanical housings with no electronic components. They do not require scheduled replacement unless physical damage or corrosion occurs in harsh environments.
