Vandal resistant hotline phone

The Viking VK-K-1900-7-EWP is a vandal resistant hotline phone built for public or exposed locations. It auto dials a single programmable speed dial number of up to 32 digits, making it suited for emergency points, entry systems or courtesy phones.

Sustained operation on analog lines

The unit draws power from the connected analog PABX, key system, centrex or CO line, so it operates continuously without batteries. Non volatile memory retains the programmed number and six digit security code through power loss, and the 54 inch armored handset cord resists daily pulling and abuse.

Analog line interface limits

Operation is limited to analog extensions or trunk lines; the phone does not connect to digital PBX stations, VoIP networks or cellular gateways. Programming is performed by touch tone only, and the single speed dial slot cannot store multiple numbers for different call destinations.

Questions about this item

Does the VK-K-1900-7-EWP generate noticeable heat or noise when mounted outdoors and powered from the phone line all day?

The unit draws power from the analog line and has no moving parts, so it runs silently without producing measurable heat during continuous operation.

What existing infrastructure must be in place for the VK-K-1900-7-EWP to function?

An active analog PABX, key-system extension, centrex or CO line is required; the phone connects directly via its armored cable to that line.

Will the VK-K-1900-7-EWP work alongside older analog handsets already wired to the same PABX?

Yes, it operates as a standard analog extension on the same system, so legacy handsets remain unaffected while this unit auto-dials its programmed number.
