Viking Electronics VK-MTG-10 Multi-Tone Generator

Viking Multi-Tone Generator VK-MTG-10

The Viking VK-MTG-10 is a multi-tone generator designed for paging and alerting systems. It provides ten distinct tones suitable for commercial, industrial or institutional environments. Installers use it to add audible signalling to existing public address or telephone infrastructure. The unit activates via contact closure for simple integration.

Ten tones with priority and fade control

The ten tones are organised into two groups of five, including door chime, warble, double gong, double chime, quadruple chime and double buzz. A built-in background audio source fade-in and fade-out function manages music or announcement levels during alerts. Priority ANSI compliant evacuation and siren tones override other signals for emergency use. A telephone recording disclosure tone emits a 500ms beep every 15 seconds to meet notification requirements.

Contact closure activation and analogue audio output

The generator is contact initiated, requiring a dry closure from a controller or switch to trigger tones. It outputs analogue audio intended for connection to amplifier inputs or paging adapters. No network interface, digital protocol or IP addressing is provided. Systems needing software configuration, SNMP monitoring or PoE power cannot use this device.
