Universal Telecom Paging Interface

The Viking Electronics VK-PI-1A connects a public address system to almost any telephone network. It provides a floating 600 ohm output and a selectable 22V DC talk battery for trunk or line ports. A UL listed 120V AC to 12V DC 500mA adapter powers the unit. Dimensions are 111 x 76 x 36mm.

Installers needing flexible night-bell

The module accepts ringing line voltage or a dry contact closure to trigger an electronic night bell. DPDT VOX-activated contacts mute background audio during pages with adjustable time-out and sensitivity. Volume and pitch for the night bell are also adjustable. Sites without analogue trunk ports or contact-closure sources cannot use the night-bell functions.

Floating 600 ohm output

This output stage matches standard telecom impedances and supplies talk battery for idle line inputs. The 22V DC source is switched on or off to suit the connected phone system. If the target equipment requires a different impedance or battery voltage, this interface will not integrate correctly.
