Viltrox EF-L Lens Mount Adapter 138g

Canon EF/EF-S to L Mount Adapter

The Viltrox EF-L adapter connects Canon EF and EF-S lenses to L mount camera bodies. It transmits electronic signals to preserve autofocus and EXIF data recording. Aperture control is managed directly through the camera body for seamless operation. The unit weighs 138g and includes a detachable tripod foot for supporting longer lenses.

Autofocus and Electronic Communication Limits

Autofocus performance depends on the specific Canon lens used and the L mount camera body firmware. Continuous autofocus speed and accuracy may vary compared to native lens combinations. Electronic aperture control requires lenses with electromagnetic diaphragms; older mechanical aperture lenses will not transmit aperture data. Video autofocus behaviour is subject to the camera's own contrast or phase detection implementation.

Supported Lens Range and Physical Constraints

The adapter comfortably handles standard and telephoto Canon EF/EF-S lenses within the mount's mechanical limits. Very heavy super-telephoto lenses may stress the mount connection without additional support beyond the supplied tripod foot. Crop sensor EF-S lenses function but produce an APS-C image circle on full-frame L mount sensors. The adapter adds no optical elements so infinity focus is maintained across the compatible focal range.
