Expand Your Leica L-Mount Lens Options

The Viltrox EF-L Pro adapter connects Canon EF and EF-S lenses to Leica L-mount camera bodies from Leica, Panasonic and Sigma. It provides a secure positive-lock mechanical fit and full electronic communication for autofocus, electronic aperture control, image stabilisation and EXIF data transmission. Photographers and videographers can use existing Canon glass on L-mount mirrorless systems without losing key lens functions.

Verify Lens and Firmware Compatibility

Confirm that your specific Canon EF or EF-S lens supports electronic aperture and autofocus protocols recognised by the adapter. Some older or third-party lenses may operate with reduced functionality or require a firmware update on the adapter itself. Check the Viltrox compatibility list for your lens model and ensure your L-mount camera body runs the latest firmware for reliable electronic communication.

Passive Design Relies on Lens and Body

The adapter contains no optical elements, motors or active cooling, so it adds negligible thermal load and produces no audible noise during operation. Power draw is limited to the electronic contacts passing signals between lens and camera, leaving battery life effectively unchanged. Durability comes from brass and metal construction with a positive-lock mount that resists wear from repeated lens changes.

Questions about this item

Does the Viltrox EF-L Pro adapter include any cables or tools, or must anything be purchased separately?

The adapter itself is the only item supplied; no cables, tools or additional hardware are included, and nothing extra is required to attach a Canon EF or EF-S lens to an L-mount camera.

Is there more than one version of the Viltrox EF-L Pro adapter to choose from?

Only the single EF-L Pro model is offered; there are no alternative versions, capacity options or colour variants listed.

Will autofocus and image stabilisation work when I mount a Canon EF lens on my Leica L-mount body with this adapter?

Yes — the adapter maintains full electronic communication, enabling autofocus, electronic aperture control, lens-based image stabilisation and EXIF data transfer.
