Copy Protection Dongle

The VinPower COPYLOCK15 is a USB 2.0 flash drive that supplies 15 licences for Vinpower CopyLock software. It enables copy protection on proprietary DVD video content when used with compatible Vinpower duplicators. The dongle is a new accessory listed by the manufacturer on 21 May 2020.

Publishers who need licence top-ups

This dongle suits publishers who already own a Vinpower duplicator with the copy protection feature and have exhausted their existing licences. It is not useful for buyers who do not have a compatible duplicator, nor for projects that require protection on media other than DVD video.

Verify duplicator compatibility

Before ordering, confirm that your Vinpower duplicator supports the CopyLock copy protection feature and accepts additional licence dongles. The device connects via a standard USB 2.0 port, so an available port on the duplicator is required.

Questions about this item

Do I need a Vinpower duplicator with the copy protection feature to use the 15 licenses on this COPYLOCK15 dongle?

Yes, the dongle works with select Vinpower duplicator lines that include the Vinpower copy protection feature to embed protection on proprietary DVD video content.

Will this USB 2.0 dongle function with an older Vinpower duplicator that lacks the copy protection feature?

The dongle provides replacement licenses for duplicators that already have the copy protection capability; it does not add the feature to hardware without it.

How can I confirm the COPYLOCK15 dongle is recognised and the 15 licenses are available after connecting it?

Insert the USB 2.0 flash drive into the duplicator and open the Vinpower CopyLock software; it will display the active license count when the dongle is detected.
