Simulated Car Alarm Deterrent

This two-pack of VIPER solar dummy alarms adds a visible anti-theft warning to any car. The red LED flashes roughly once every five seconds after dark to mimic an active security system. It is aimed at drivers who want a low-cost deterrent without wiring into the vehicle electrical system. No keyless-entry or immobiliser functions are included.

Peel-and-Stick Mounting

Each unit ships with strong double-sided adhesive for attachment to the rear-view mirror, centre console, door panel or rear glass. Clean and dry the surface first; the supplier notes the housing is not waterproof so it must stay inside the cabin. A USB port provides backup charging on cloudy days, and a manual switch disables the flasher when not needed.

Pre-Installation Checks

Verify the chosen spot receives enough daylight for the solar cell to charge the 80mAh battery. Confirm the 5.5×2.3×1.2cm footprint fits behind the mirror or on the console without obstructing the driver’s view. The device only senses ambient light — it has no motion, vibration or glass-break detection — so it suits buyers wanting a visual deterrent alone.

What comes in the 2-pack and is any extra adhesive or USB cable included?

The box contains two red dummy alarm units, a spare double-sided adhesive sticker and a cleaning cloth; a USB charging cable is not supplied.

Should I choose the red or blue version for maximum night-time visibility?

Only the red version is listed in the specifications, so select the red 5.5×2.3×1.2 cm unit with 80 mAh battery.
