Universal docking station for mixed OS environments
The VisionTek VT4800 connects to Windows or Mac laptops through a single Thunderbolt 3 or USB-C cable. It targets professionals who need to expand one portable system into a multi-display workstation with high-speed data access and charging. The dock suits offices where both operating systems share the same desk infrastructure.
Two DisplayPort 1.4 outputs and 60 W power delivery
Dual monitors up to 4096 x 2160 at 60 Hz are supported through HBR3, HBR2 and HBR link rates. A single 8K display can be driven when only one panel is connected. The 60 W downstream charge keeps the host laptop powered while peripherals draw current from the five USB ports.
Plug-and-play setup with cable-length limits
No driver installation is required on supported Windows or Mac systems; the dock enumerates automatically on first connection. The main installation constraint is the host port — it must provide Thunderbolt 3 or full-featured USB-C with DisplayPort Alt Mode and power delivery. Passive cables longer than the specification allows will drop video or data links.

Questions about this item
Will the 60W power delivery keep charging my laptop after years of daily use?
The dock delivers up to 60W over Thunderbolt 3 to charge the host system. The Titan Ridge controller maintains stable power negotiation, so charging continues as long as the laptop and cable support the same PD profile.
What limits dual-monitor performance when I run both displays at 4096 x 2160 @60Hz all day?
Each DisplayPort 1.4 link tops out at HBR3 8.1Gbps per lane. Driving two 4K60 streams uses most of that bandwidth, so sustained full-resolution output on both screens is the practical ceiling.
How much heat or fan noise should I expect from the VT4800 during a full workday?
The unit has no internal fan and relies on passive convection. Under continuous 60W charging and dual 4K60 video the aluminium enclosure gets warm but stays within normal operating temperatures.
