Multifunction bedside lamp

The Vivilumens S22 combines a 10 W E26 table lamp with a Bluetooth 5.0 speaker, a wireless charging pad and a white-noise sound machine. Touch controls on the light bar select three brightness levels at 30%, 70% and 100%. A 180° rotating arm holds a phone or tablet for hands-free viewing. The unit weighs .8 lb and measures 22.7 L x 5.8 W x 21.3 H centimeters.

Who benefits and who does not

This lamp suits anyone who wants light, audio, charging and a phone stand in one compact device for a nightstand or desk. It requires a USB cable for power, so buyers without a nearby outlet or USB source should look elsewhere. The wireless charger only works with phones that support the feature. The single 10 W LED may not provide enough illumination for large rooms or detailed task lighting.

Deciding specification

The integrated Bluetooth 5.0 speaker with five built-in nature sounds is the feature that separates this product from a standard table lamp. If you need audio playback and sleep sounds without a separate device, the S22 fits. If you only need adjustable light, a simpler lamp without the speaker and charging functions will cost less and use less power.

Questions about this item

Does the lamp need a wall outlet for the wireless charger to work?

Yes, the lamp must be plugged into a wall charger via its USB cable for the wireless charging pad to function.

Will Bluetooth 5.0 stay connected if I walk to another room?

The maximum Bluetooth 5.0 range is 33 ft, so connection may drop if walls or distance exceed that limit.

How do I know the three brightness levels are set correctly?

Touch the light bar to cycle through 30%, 70% and 100% output; each tap changes the level.
