Vivitar 72mm Digital Lens Hood

72mm Lens Hood for Digital Cameras

The Vivitar 72mm Digital Lens Hood attaches to the front of a compatible lens to block stray light from entering the optics. It is intended for photographers who want to reduce flare and ghosting in bright conditions while adding a layer of physical protection for the front element.

Check thread diameter before ordering

Verify that your lens has a 72mm filter thread before purchase, as this hood mounts directly to that thread. Confirm the thread size printed on the lens barrel or in its documentation to ensure a secure fit without vignetting.

Consistent shading during extended shoots

Under sustained use in strong directional light, the extended barrel continues to shade the front glass, maintaining contrast and colour fidelity across long sessions. The rigid construction holds its position without flexing, so the protective benefit remains constant whether shooting handheld or on a tripod.
