High-velocity air circulator

The Vornado 80X is a 20-inch floor-mounted fan built for whole-room air circulation. A brushless motor drives the blades at 1400 rpm while drawing 75 watts on a 24-volt DC supply. The unit offers 99 discrete speed levels controlled by a touch interface and includes a programmable timer. A built-in kickstand provides adjustable vertical tilt for targeted airflow.

Ideal for large indoor spaces

This fan suits buyers who need powerful, variable-speed circulation in bedrooms, living rooms, offices or dormitories. The quiet low-speed operation supports sleep environments while high settings address hot-weather cooling. It is not for users who require outdoor-rated construction, battery-powered portability or fixed wall-mount installation.

24-volt DC power requirement

The motor operates exclusively on a 24-volt DC input, although the unit is built to meet U.S. 120/240-volt household wiring standards. Buyers must verify that their intended circuit or supplied adapter delivers the correct 24-volt DC feed before installation.

Questions about this item

How often should the brushless motor and removable grille be cleaned?

The removable grille allows straightforward access to the blades for regular dusting, while the brushless motor eliminates carbon-brush wear, so no internal motor maintenance is required.

What limits continuous operation at the 1400 rpm maximum speed?

The 75 watt brushless motor is rated for sustained 1400 rpm airflow; thermal protection will reduce speed only if internal temperatures exceed design limits.

How much noise and heat does the 75 watt motor produce during all-day use?

At lower speed settings the fan runs whisper-quiet for sleeping, while at the 1400 rpm top speed it moves high-velocity air with modest motor heat and audible airflow noise.
