Vortex Viper HD 10x42 Binoculars

The Vortex Viper HD 10x42 is a full-size roof-prism binocular built for hunters, birders and outdoor observers who need 10-power magnification with a 42 mm objective. The 2018 edition delivers a wider field of view and longer eye relief than the earlier version for more comfortable extended viewing.

Optical system and handling

Proprietary XR fully multi-coated lenses and dielectric-coated roof prisms maximise light transmission across the visual spectrum. Phase-corrected prism coatings reduce internal interference and diffraction to preserve contrast and colour fidelity. The larger objectives gather more light for bright images in low-light conditions such as dawn, dusk or heavy cloud.

Sustained field use

The optical coatings maintain high transmission and contrast during long glassing sessions without the image degradation that can occur in lesser systems. Eye relief remains comfortable over hours of observation, reducing fatigue. The rugged chassis protects alignment and coatings from shock and weather so performance stays consistent in demanding environments.
