Plug-in under-cabinet light kit

The Vovamo YQ-CGD-2C supplies two 12-inch LED bars that plug into a USB port and deliver 800 lumens total at 6000K cold white. Each bar measures 11.5 inches long by .7 inches wide and .27 inches high, weighing .195 kilograms for the pair. The linkable design suits kitchens, closets, workbenches and desks where a slim, stick-on fixture is preferred.

Sustained output and dimming behaviour

The kit draws 6.2 watts from a 5-volt supply rated for 100 to 240 volts AC input and uses an ETL-listed USB adapter for continuous operation. Brightness adjusts from 10 to 100 percent by long-pressing the in-cord switch, and a memory function restores the last level on the next power cycle. Voice assistants can toggle the lights on and off through a compatible smart plug, though dimming via voice is not supported.

Replaces bulky hard-wired bars

This set upgrades from thicker AC-powered cabinet lights that require wiring and offer no dimming memory. The USB plug and 3M stick-on mounting remove the need for an electrician and fit tighter gaps where older fixtures cannot sit. Buyers who need motion-activated operation, water-resistant housings or integrated smart-home dimming without an extra smart plug will not find those features here.

Questions about this item

Does the 5 V 6.2 W power draw keep the aluminium bars cool when they run all day?

Each 400 lm bar runs at 5 volts and the kit totals 6.2 watts, so heat stays low even during continuous use.

What must I already have to power the USB plug-in lights?

You need a USB-A port or charger that can supply 5 V at 2 A; the included ETL-listed adapter meets that requirement.

Can I link these 12 inch bars to an older Vovamo kit that uses the same linkable design?

Yes, the linkable connectors on each 11.5 inch bar allow you to daisy-chain additional compatible units.
