Vszerda 16-Port SATA 3.0 Controller
The Vszerda 16-Port SATA 3.0 Controller Expansion Card adds sixteen SATA 3.0 interfaces through a single PCI Express X1 slot. It supports simultaneous connection of sixteen SATA hard drives at up to 6Gbps each. The card works in PCIe X1, X4, X8 and X16 slots and is compatible with Windows 8, Windows 10, Linux and Mac OS.
Build quality and daily use
The board uses ASMedia ASM1064 and JMB5XX chips designed for heat dissipation and stable high-temperature operation. A low-profile bracket is included for slim chassis installations. The package supplies a 5-port 15-pin SATA power splitter cable and sixteen SATA data cables for immediate drive hookup.
Upgrade path and when to buy
This card replaces smaller-port SATA controllers or onboard ports when a workstation needs capacity for sixteen drives. The jump is worth it when the 256TB expansion ceiling matches the storage plan and the system has at least one free PCIe X1 slot. Buyers who need more than sixteen concurrent SATA devices should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item
Does the PCIe x1 interface limit the 16 SATA 3.0 ports to less than 6 Gbps each?
The card uses a PCIe x1 link with ASM1064 and JMB575 chips; 16 drives share that single lane so sustained throughput per port will be below the 6 Gbps SATA 3.0 maximum when many drives are active.
What clearance and slot width does the card need to fit in my chassis?
A low-profile bracket is included; the board occupies one PCIe x1, x4, x8 or x16 slot and needs only the standard rear-panel cut-out for the 16 SATA connectors.
How do I install the card and which step do builders often miss?
Power off the system, insert the card into any free PCIe slot, attach the supplied 15-pin SATA power splitter to the card, connect the 16 SATA data cables, then install the OS driver from the disc before the drives appear.
