Two-Pack HDMI 2.1 Coupler

This two-pack provides HDMI 2.1 female-to-female adapters for joining two HDMI cables into a longer run. The aluminium alloy housings convert a male HDMI plug into a female port so existing cables can be extended without signal degradation. The couplers suit home-theatre installers, AV integrators and anyone needing extra reach between source devices and displays. They are not for buyers who need active signal boosting beyond the passive reach of standard copper cables.

Passive HDMI 2.1 Extension Limits

The adapters comply with the HDMI 2.1 specification and pass 8K resolution at 60 Hz when used with compliant cables. Supported video modes include 3840x2160, 2560x1600, 2560x1440, 1920x1200 and 1080p. Audio Return Channel, HDMI Ethernet Channel, 3D video and 7.1 or 5.1 Dolby digital audio pass through without processing. The passive design adds no power requirement but cannot compensate for cable losses that exceed the standard's electrical limits.

8K 60 Hz Pass-Through Capability

The decisive specification is the verified 8K at 60 Hz pass-through rating backed by HDMI 2.1 compliance. If the installation demands 8K 60 HDR transmission through a joined cable run, these couplers meet that requirement. If the system only requires 4K or lower resolutions, the headroom remains available but is not the determining factor for selection.
