Rear-panel USB 2.0 expansion
This bracket cable converts a single motherboard 10-pin USB 2.0 header into two external USB-A female ports. It mounts through a full-profile PCI slot cover on the rear of the case. The assembly adds front-panel style connectivity to the back panel without occupying a drive bay.
Bracket and cable assembly
The included full-profile bracket secures the two ports to the chassis rear aperture. A 12-inch (30 cm) ribbon links the bracket to the motherboard header. The fixed length determines how far the header can sit from the rear panel.
Two-port 480 Mbps limit
The adapter supports USB 2.0 transfer rates up to 480 Mbps across both ports. It comfortably handles keyboards, mice, printers and flash drives. It runs out of bandwidth for high-throughput external storage or video capture devices.

Questions about this item
Will the 10-pin motherboard header or the two USB-A ports wear out first?
The 10-pin header is a single internal connection rated for the motherboard's lifecycle, while the two external USB-A ports handle repeated plug cycles; port wear depends on how often devices are inserted.
What limits sustained throughput on this 12-inch cable?
The USB 2.0 specification caps data transfer at 480 Mbps, so the interface itself is the bottleneck before cable length or connector quality becomes a factor.
Does the bracket add any fan noise or heat when the ports are used all day?
The adapter is a passive cable and metal bracket with no active components, so it generates no fan noise and negligible heat during continuous operation.
