6-in-1 USB-C Hub with 10Gbps Ports

This hub adds six connections through a single USB-C socket: two USB-C 3.2 ports, one USB-A 3.2 port, one USB-A 2.0 port, a Gigabit Ethernet jack and a USB-C power input for peripherals. The aluminium housing keeps the unit light and rigid for travel. It suits users who need fast wired networking and extra USB ports on a modern laptop or tablet.

Suits thin laptops and tablets needing wired LAN

Buyers who need to charge the host laptop through the hub cannot use this model because the USB-C power port only supplies attached peripherals. Users running Windows XP, Windows 7, Vista or Linux must install a driver before the Ethernet link works. Anyone requiring more than one Ethernet port or legacy video outputs should look at a different adapter.

10Gbps USB 3.2 data rate decides suitability

The two USB-C 3.2 ports and the USB-A 3.2 port each support 10Gbps transfer speed, which is twice the rate of USB 3.0. If your workflow moves large video or image files between external SSDs, this bandwidth prevents the hub from becoming a bottleneck. If you only connect a mouse, keyboard and printer, a slower and cheaper hub will do the job.

Questions about this item

Does the 45320 hub need a separate power brick to run a bus-powered portable hard drive?

The extra USB-C power port on the hub accepts a standard USB-C charger so high-draw peripherals such as portable hard drives get stable power; it cannot charge the host laptop.

On Windows 10 the hub works immediately, but what extra step is required on Windows 7?

Windows 7 requires the supplied driver to be installed before the Gigabit Ethernet and 10 Gbps USB ports become active; the installer is included on the UGREEN support page.

How often should the aluminium casing vents be cleaned to keep the Gigabit Ethernet port from throttling?

Blow dust from the ventilation slots every few months with compressed air; the aluminium body runs cool under normal loads so no thermal paste or pad replacement is ever needed.
