This 50 cm extension cable bridges a motherboard USB 3.1 Type-E header to a USB-C female port mounted on a full-height PCI bracket. Motherboard header requirement

The cable only works if the motherboard provides a USB 3.1 Type-E header; older USB 3.0 or 2.0 internal headers will not fit. One side operates at USB 3.0 protocol for up to 10 Gbps data transfer and the link supports 100 W power delivery. A 56 kΩ resistor is built in to protect attached devices from excessive current.

Bracket limits case choice

The included full-height PCI bracket with panel-mount screws secures the port firmly and prevents loosening during use. It fits standard ATX cases only and cannot be used in mini or low-profile chassis. Builders with compact cases will need a different mounting solution.
